It’s been a goal of mine to be more creative in my journal and this July 2020 bullet journal monthly spread is my most creative yet. Back in June I had my instagram followers choose which theme I did for July and they chose ice cream over bumblebees. I must admit I am happy with the choice and I had a great time with this theme.

July 2020 Bullet Journal Pages

July Cover Page

I really love this cover page. When the votes came in as ice cream, I knew immediately I wanted to do this cut out technique. I made my stencil and got to work testing it out. I love the dripping of the ice cream and the toppings. It looks realistic, yet whimsical! I hope you like it as well.

July Monthly Page

I’m not trying to brag, but I love this page too!!! I love the washi tape! I have become a washi tape addict and I’m slightly afraid! I also love how I utilized the ice cream cone cutout… I felt like it would be repetitive to color in the whole thing again so I repurposed it for my monthly goals. I also like the ice cream cone on the right that overlaps the calendar. Next time I think I might add this in first so that the lines of the calendar aren’t visible.

Monthly Master To Do List

Finally, another one of my “go to” pages. I love the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the month. Usually I use a coloring sheet on the right side of the layout, but this time I thought I would play around with my stencil more. I love the overlapping of the cones and how the word July is overlapping everything. I’m really excited to see how this one ends up on July 31st!

  1. This is so cute! I really love the ice cream cone master to – do list layout. I may have to steal it for my bullet journal. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it! I was like oh no I didn’t have a plan for the backside of that ice cream cone cut out and had to improvise on the fly and I loved it too!

  2. Vey cool idea. I am a huge list maker and didn’t realize I was bullet journaling for years!! Haha. Mine was never so structured and definitely not as pretty though. Very creative!

    1. Hi Robin! I know! I didn’t realize I was either until I happened across bullet journaling like 5 years ago! I haven’t looked back since! It’s become more involved now, but I used to be super simple too! Then I just started using bullet journaling as a functional thing and also as a creative outlet and a therapy session… it’s amazing what it does for you mentally… now only if I could lose weight while bullet journaling….

    1. I know it’s been really hard lately with basically everything being cancelled. I just had to dig deep down and tell myself that I wasn’t going to let that bring me down and I just keep watching youtube videos and surfing instagram and pinterest… I definitely recommend Oops a Daisy UK… she has a stencil business she runs out of the UK and does videos showing you how to use her stencils and such… I love her, she is such an inspiration for me. I hope that helps!

  3. I love this post! I have often wanted to Bujo but I definetly do not have ANY artistic skills or cannot draw a straight line even with a ruler!!! LOL These pages look great, I adore the goals pages. I commend you and encourage you to keep going! I followed you along on social media as well 😉

    1. Thank you Nora! It has been a process– I’ve been doing it for at least 4 years now and have become more adventurous. 🙂

  4. You have some really cute ideas on this post. I can’t wait to try some of them. I love bullet journaling but seems like most months I keep it simple because I don’t make time to get really creative. Thanks for inspiring me!

    1. Thank you so much Randi! Yes, I tend to keep it very minimal as well but I’ve been trying to spend more time and get more creative. It’s been a form of therapy for me! #METIME!

  5. Planner girl here! The ice cream theme is so fun. I’ve done a little bullet journaling but I hope to do a lot more in the near future. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Hi Candace! I’m pretty sure I was born with a to do list in my hand (thanks Mom!) and it has just grown and expanded into a hobby now! hahaha I love bullet journaling, it’s a form of therapy for me and I definitely recommend it!
