I am super excited about my August 2020 Bullet Journal. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love peacocks. I have a lot of peacock decorations around my house and our wedding was peacock themed! When I was planning my August theme, I just knew I had to do peacocks since August is also my birthday month! I hope you enjoy these bullet journal spreads as much as I do!

August 2020 Bullet Journal Pages
August Cover Page
I am IN LOVE with how this turned out. I started out with my stencil for the body of the peacock. I didn’t care for the tail on the stencil so I free-handed the tail. I am so proud how this turned out!
August Calendar Page
Next up is my August calendar page. I’m happy how this came out as well. Again, I used the stencil I created to make the eye of the feather and then I free handed the rest. I love how the feathers go behind the boxes in the calendar. I also made a stencil for the boxes but with August falling the way it did, I ran out of room at the bottom. It doesn’t look too bad but not perfect.
August Master To Do List
Finally we have my master to do list. This month I decided to do something a little different. Instead of doing a coloring page like i normally do, I decided to trace a peacock and as I complete a task i’m going to draw a feather onto the peacock. I’m super excited how this came out and can’t wait to see it once its completed.

This is so neat! I’ve always wanted to try bullet journaling but I’m sooo not artistic or creative at all and am so afraid it would come out looking terrible. Do you have any tips for those of us who aren’t artistic but want to try our hand at bullet journaling? The peacocks look so good!
Hi Heather! Thank you so much! I am traditionally a minimalist when it comes to my bullet journal but this year it has been a goal of mine to be more artistic. I like using a lot of Washi tape to make things interesting when my spread is basic… also using a basic color theme Instead of an elaborate theme could help too—- check out my March and April posts for simpler spreads 🙂
Very creative – love the video! What a great way to create your own planner inexpensively.
I loved looking at your BJ layout – I wish I had the talent to do one of those! I usually start them once a year and then get frustrated at the lack of my artistic ability and the time it takes to set up and usually stick with my digital planner!
I LOVE BULLET JOURNALLING! It’s made such a difference in my life since I started! Thanks for this post, I look forward to more!!
I love your idea of using stencils. I always just make mine up as I go but they feel dull and lifeless a lot. I love adding some color this way. Thanks for the tip!
Very nice post with nice photography. I am like you…I love peacocks. Do you make a bullet journal every month on your blog? If so, I would like to follow along.
Hi Pam! Yes, I do! Usually at least two per month— one showing the set up and then another one at the end of the month flipping through the previous month “after the pen” is how I’ve seen it… anytime I do a different type of spread I usually post about it as well. Thanks so much for stopping by!
How fun! I loved the way it turned out as well! Bullet journaling is so much fun and gives that extra excitement when you get creative with it!
I loved your Peacock idea, especially about coloring in the feathers with each task you complete!
I love how nicely you have decorated your bullet journal. This is one of my definite go-to hobbies! The master to-do is a great idea. I think I’ll include that in my journal too! Thanks for sharing 🙂
