Welcome to my March Bullet Journal Spreads! I am so excited to share this fun book theme that I’ve created this month! If you know me, you know I love to read so creating a theme around reading, especially during the month that holds Dr. Suess’s birthday and Read Across America, was a no brainer. As always, I took some inspo from pinterest and found some great washi tape and set to work on a month full of celebrating my other favorite hobby, books!

March Bullet Journal Spreads
Cover Page

I started my March Bullet Journal Spreads the way I always do, with a cover page. This month I drew out a stack of books, decorated each book a little differently and made the title of one of the books March. This was a little more difficult than I had anticipated. When I looked at the inspo on Pinterest, the drawing made it look as if you could see onto the cover of some of the books the way they were stacked. I will say I am not a trained artist, I am craft at best, and this one was a little difficult for me. Typically I call my best friend (who is a high school art teacher) for some help but I was in a rush (as usual) to get this done. Despite the struggle, I think it turned out well enough.
Calendar

If you’ve been a while, you know I love it when I’m able to include a full two-page calendar in my journal spreads for the month. It really just helps me visualize the month and my hectic life. Side note, it’s currently March 14th when I’m writing this and this month literally blew up with busy-ness. As you can see in the photo, I utilized my washi tape that I got from Etsy and drew my color palette from there. I love this antique-ish vibe it has going on. It’s not very “spring” but I love it none-the-less. You’ll also notice how March essentially has 6 rows of weeks in it. I literally HATE when this happens because it throws off the spacing on my spread and I REFUSE to slice days in half in my calendar. I just had to deal with not having the words Saturday and Sunday above the day blocks.
Mood Tracker

This was another one of March Bullet Journal Spreads that was a little more difficult than I had expected. The problem wasn’t drawing 31 books or even the little tea cup. The problem was decorating 31 books to kinda look like actual books. Who would have thought. My hand definitely hurt after this one and I wish I had started the stacks farther up the page so I could put my mood key under them but overall this turned out pretty nice. Moving forward I want to make sure that I am choosing spreads that I filling me with joy versus causing me more stress like this one did.
Habit Tracker

I rounded things out this month with another classic habit tracker. I had to dig out my calendar stamps from Oops A Daisy for this one because I am way over drawing out the month 6+ times. (Unfortunately, she doesn’t carry these stamps any longer but she has some other awesome products you can use for a monthly tracker.) I kept things simple by just decorating in between the different habits with some book stacks. I was again disappointed with my spacing on this one and thought I may put a quote between the title and where the habits start but at this point I’m not going back to do that. It is functional and looks good enough.

March Bullet Journal Spreads Wrap-up
Overall, I’m really happy with how my March bullet journal spreads came together, even with a few challenges along the way! This book-themed month was a fun way to celebrate my love for reading, and despite some minor frustrations (looking at you, mood tracker), I enjoyed the process of bringing it all to life. If anything, this month reminded me to choose spreads that bring me joy rather than stress—something I’ll definitely keep in mind moving forward. I’d love to hear what theme you chose for March, so feel free to share in the comments! Until next time, happy journaling!
